Stan Kostka, Ph.D., a visiting scholar at the Penn State-Berks campus, focuses on water behavior in diverse soils; the concepts of water movement as influenced by soil physical, chemical or biological properties, including water repellency; recent advancements relating to interfaces; and the boundaries between soil textural classes, soil particles, microorganisms, organic matter and plant roots.
