In this episode of Frankly Speaking, I chat with Dr. Paul Vincelli of the University of Kentucky about the state of turf research in general and plant pathology in particular; looking outside the turf industry for inspiration and innovation that can be applied to turf; enhancing public knowledge about climate change; and the state of genetic research.
As always, frank talk from leading thinkers in the turf industry.

Great information about all the research into lawn care and grass types etc. I had the chance to go to the University of Minnesota extension service and it is amazing all of the grass studies they are doing. They must have had a thousand different kinds of grass especially variants in the fescue realm. Grass that resists red thread or leaf blight and much more. It is good to see all the care and research done both here with Minneapolis lawn grass as well as Kentucky, that is happening to improve upon the available types of grass.
